For basic inquiries we provide the above online guide to help people with council and VCAT objections. It contains advice about grounds of objection to planning applications, how to deal with councils, making an appeal to VCAT, etc.
We don't have the resources to advise residents in detail about all their planning problems, particularly given the number of problems 'Planning' in Victoria is currently creating! (see the Auditor General's May 2008 report into Planning in Victoria, especially part 6 - 78% of planning permits are flawed! ).
However, we can hopefully refer you to a local community group or planning professional who can help.

Our aim is to improve planning legislation and the way it is implemented so that the community doesn't have to keep fighting so many individual battles - battles that should not be necessary in a real democracy where the government listens to the community.
